Hello I’m Cat .I hand build cute, fun small batch ceramics from my workshop on the island of Anglesey, North Wales.I studied printmaking in Sheffield and ceramic design at uni in Copenhagen, graduating in 2000. I began Miss Marple Makes around 10 years or so later. Miss Marple is my favourite detective and my family name and I plan to grow more into character as the years pass.😆.
My ceramic world is a happy place with cute characters and smiley faces.You will see Welsh and Scandinavian themed pieces and lots of vibrant colour.My intention is to create something that brightens your day and makes you smile.
Each piece is unique and I enjoy the freedom of creating and painting my own designs without the pressures of mass production. in this way my ideas are always evolving and it doesn’t get boring or repetitive. In 2024 I began combining my ceramics with mosaic and you will also see those pieces in my shop.
