Pair of handmade, glazed, ceramic Lighthouse earrings on silver plated studs.
I have designed the shape and cut out in porcelain clay. After drying I have hand painted with ceramic underglaze and biscuit fired to 900 degrees. They are finally glazed with a clear brush on glaze and fired to 1200 degrees.
These Lighthouse studs carry a symbolic meaning for me. The image of a lighthouse represents guidance, hope, and strength, especially during stormy difficult times. This symbolism makes them a thoughtful gift for friends or loved ones.
I live by the seaside on the isle of Anglesey and there are 5 lighthouses around the coastline. They are very inspiring and a personal reminder of a significant place for me and maybe you too.
