Ceramic Welsh Lady Mosaic Portrait of Bronwen in a white frame with hook at back for wall mounting .
Bronwen The Welsh Lady is a quirkily illustrated design based on the traditional and Iconic image of a Welsh Lady. She is definitely a perfect gift for anyone looking to represent Welsh history, culture, and heritage.
She has been cut out of the clay with a cutter that I designed myself.
I then dry the shape flat and biscuit fire. The next stage is painting her with underglaze and then glaze firing to a high temperature of 1200 degrees in my kiln.
To make the mosaic I have then attached Bronwen and the surrounding ceramic pieces with glue to my light weight and waterproof base which I have grouted in place. I love finding the right ceramic pieces to make the picture stand out and be a delight for the eye. I have collected broken cherished plates over the years and finally they have found their place!
There are two variations to choose from , one which says CYMRU (Wales) and the other says WALES AND BORE DA which means Hello in Welsh.I have used Welsh symbols and broken Welsh vintage pottery to make the mosaics tell a story.
I hope you like your Welsh Bronwen Mosaic created with love and attention to detail.
